Battle of the Bands Competition 2021 in Southampton.
2019 saw the first River Studio’s Battle of the Bands competition. Over 50 local bands auditioned at the studio for a place to perform at the live shows at The 1865 in Southampton.

Southampton Battle of the Bands Prizes
The winners of the Southampton Battle of the Bands competition won the following prizes at River Studios.
- Winner – £1,000 worth of recording studio time.
- Runner up – £500 worth of recording studio time.
- Third place – £300 worth of recording studio time.
Further gift voucher prizes were awarded from Absolute Music and Graham Russell Drums, as well as performance slots from festival partners; Meadowside, Vicky Park and Netley Music festivals. Bands also received press coverage from local media sponsors; AND Guide, Dorset Music Guide and Express FM.
