Music production lessons are provided as tailored one-to-one sessions.
Or you are invited to attend regularly scheduled weekly group lessons as part of our Music Production Courses.
In our scheduled weekly group lessons, you will have the option to pursue a formal academic path of tuition and music production qualifications.
By undertaking our formal music production courses, grading and qualifications are now available through River Recording Studios.

Music Production Lessons in Southampton
Southampton’s music production lessons neatly identify and demonstrate the key technical, practical and theoretical skills, which are fundamental to the development and success of aspiring music producers and engineers.
River Studios offer the choice of pursuing lessons purely to learn more skills and improve on technique for the pleasure and progress of each student.
The option to pursue a formal academic path of tuition, undertaking RockSchool’s music production syllabus and achieving music production grades from Grades 1 to 8.
RSL (RockSchool) Qualifications
The aim of the music production qualifications is to provide a flexible, progressive mastery approach to the knowledge, skills and understanding required for music production.
RockSchool’s graded qualifications motivate and encourage candidates of all ages and levels through a system of progressive mastery, enabling candidates to develop and enhance skills, knowledge and understanding in a safe and 
consistent way.
The qualifications are beneficial for candidates wishing to progress at their own pace through smaller steps of achievement.
There are no entry requirements for these qualifications and RockSchool’s Grade 1 to 8 in Music Production are available to undertake. However, candidates should be aware that the content of higher grades will require a level of knowledge and understanding covered in previous qualifications.
